Look Who Came Out of the Basement!

Happy April 23rd!  Do you know why today is so special?  Well, for one, this little man turns three months old today.  Henry James just gets cuter every time I look at him!

But, my friends, there's another reason why this day is so significant.  Look who actually made her way out of my basement and into the light of day!

Yep!  And she was joined by this guy:

And we may have paid a visit to this long-neglected friend of mine:

I don't know what's so magical about three months "post-baby," but I feel my creative energy coming back!  For awhile I wondered if it had left me for good, but apparently it was just hiding under the spit-up cloths and nursing bras.  Oops.  Guess I should do laundry more often.

So, stay tuned for a fun project tomorrow, followed by what will (hopefully) be a little more action around here in the weeks to come!

Can't wait to see what you are working on! We have all been without our creativity at times and a new baby is the best excuse of all! Mine is hiding under prom dresses and graduation invites! :)

I just bought my first glue gun when I did Jamison's letters for her room and it was so nice. LOVE Hobby Lobby and go often...maybe a little too often.

My babe turns 18 months on April 23! Henry is adorable. I think the first three months are like boot camp and you can always kind of breathe more on the other side. Can't wait to see what you're up to.

Wow, at 3 mo you are getting your creativity back? I'm impressed. It took me 6 mo to a year to feel somewhat normal again! Can't wait to see what you've done.

After I had my kids it took me almost a year after #2 to get back to feeling creative. I'm glad it's only taken you a few months. What did you make????

I was a little concerned as I scrolled through your post. An adorable baby photo followed by a glue gun and mod podge. I thought, "What kind of project IS this?" Too funny! I was glad to find out the baby is not part f the actual project! :) He is cute!

Carrie, on my blog roll, all I saw was your title and Henry's cute face!! I was thinking...hummm? They keep him in the basement?? HA!! I'm so excited to see what you come up with. I remember my son sleeping in his bouncy seat while I nailgunned molding to the wall. He slept through the whole thing!! :) Gotta love that age.
