Gold Buffalo Check Fabric? Anyone?

*Edited to add: Thank you so much for your helpful comments!  I am not giving up hope yet, and will check into all your suggestions.  Someone asked me how much I need.  12 yards.  Two windows = four panels = 3 yards per panel.  A tall order, I know!  But I am determined!

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post to see if anyone can help me.

I am on the hunt for this fabric.  It is a gold buffalo check, and I am in love!  But I can't find it anywhere except really expensive fabric websites and I am, you know, cheap.

The Nester showed us the inspirational photo above on her blog, and if you go to this post you can see that she eventually found the fabric at Hobby Lobby.  Oh great and wonderful Hobby Lobby with their frequent 40% off coupons!  Alas, my Hobby Lobby does not have this fabric.

So anyway, I thought I would put the word out that if anyone knows where I can score some of this fabric, I would be eternally grateful for the information!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Carrie,

I just bought this fabric Friday at Hobby Lobby. They now have it on clearance and that may be why you couldn't find any. Did you look at the clearance fabric? I paid around $13.00 a yard for it. I put it in my dining room and am considered buying more for the breakfast room but my Hobby Lobby didn't have enough. The lady thought there was only about 3 yards left and each of my windows takes 5 yards. GOOD LUCK. I'm hoping to find more too.

Carrie,

I just checked my receipt and there wasn't a SKU. It just said how many yards I got and it was $13.00 a yard. I think the regular price was $24.99 a yard. I had considered buying it about a week ago but waited and for once I was glad I did. I hope you can find some as I love mine. That's why I wish I would have found enough for my breakfast room. Now I just have to decide what color to paint my dining room because it is golden yellow and I think a different color would be better.

There are so many bloggers and Hobby Lobby's that I think someone should be able to find you some. Shannon from Bless Our Nest also has this material and told me she had gotten hers at Hobby Lobby. I too wanted to make sure it was the right material before I purchased it so I asked her. Go blog hoppin' and I'll bet someone will get you some!!

I'll keep my eyes out at our HL, too. And, just a thought...now that Nester is moving again....maybe she'll sell you her mistreatments and you can just get the fabric you need directly from her?

I'll keep an eye out for it. You've probably already thought of this -- have you tried overstock.com? Good luck!

You could ask over at ApartmentTherapy.com

But a lot of the folks there seem to like to spend money - be warned. there are lots of helpful folks too.

I haven't seen it at my hobby lobby, but good luck finding it. I get a lot of my fabric from online stores like fabric.com.

I'm afraid I'm going to be absolutely no help on this one because I have been looking for the same fabric. (on the cheap as well). If someone gives you a good lead, please let me know.

I've seen curtains made with that fabric at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I got mine at Hobby Lobby about 4 years ago but they still have it every time I go. How many yards do you need and I'll check it out.

Ann-
The only other place I have found anything similar is Calico Corners. Although, of course, it's much more expensive than the discounted fabric I found at Hobby Lobby. Good luck!
