'Twas three days before Thanksgiving, and all through the house
Carrie was using scrapbook paper and a glue stick...
So what else is new?
We are staying In Denver this year for Thanksgiving, and hosting a small gathering at our house. My friend Aimee does a Thanksgiving Tree every year, and I decided to copy her!
Here's the cast of characters:
On Thanksgiving, throughout the day, people can come along and write down something they are thankful for, then tie it to the tree! We plan to read ours during dinner. I imagine some of them will be sentimental, some silly, and some just bizarre (if I know my family). Just the way I like it!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I will be back next week to kick off the Christmas season!
P.S. To answer a few questions: the wire tree, I must admit, came from Goodwill. I'd been looking for one for awhile and one day I just stumbled upon it. As for the other materials, they all came from Hobby Lobby. My condolences for those of you who don't have one near you! :)

Merlot or Pinot Grigio? :)
PS. this is a great idea!
where did you get the actual wire tree?
It's lovely. In school I made a 'things that make us happy' tree with my p3 class. this reminds me of it!
We don't have Thanksgiving here, but I am thankful for wine too!
Wine! ha!
Love it!
C~..
just delightful..
not a wine person, nor do I do chocolate..
so one thing I'm truly thankful for is..
FREEDOM..
to be,
to choose..
or to just not..
enjoy the day with your family and friends..
hugs!
Loui♥

WHERE did you find the tags? I was on a hunt for them about a month ago and finally gave up! Grrr. (And if you tell me Hob Lob I'll be insanely jealous!)

This is so sweet! I would also like to know where you found the "tree" if you don't mind sharing!
Love, Love, Love it! Out of all the thanksging trees, this one is the cutest idea. I think I will do this one year...no one will be here and I will be home but who says it can't be with my hubby and child.
Happy Thanksgiving!
What a great idea!! I did something similiar with my Sunday School kids this past Sunday and we made a Blessings Tree in our classroom. We have a tree up on our wall and we put leaves on it that the kids had wrote (or drawn) what they are thankful for...it was so fun and rewarding.
Hope you guys have a Happy Thanksgiving!♥
What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

I love all of the Thanksgiving trees I've been seeing around blogland and the attitude of gratitude that they remind us to have while we enjoy turkey. :) Your wire tree was a fabulous find! Happy Thanksgiving!
What a lovely idea! Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!

I so miss Hobby Lobby. they ave the best stuff. When hubs gets done with school and looking for a job--don't you think Hobby Lobby in town should be a prerequisite for taking the job?

Hi Carrie,
I hope your Thanksgiving was a truly wonderful one! I LOVE this idea, and must copy it next year! (And I love the wire tree, too!) And alas, I am one of those unfortunate ones who does not live near a Hobby Lobby~ I am so jealous of those of you who do, because it sounds like a fantastic store! :)
I hope your week is going great so far!
Blessings,
Jenni
