It's Monday morning and I am still working out the kinks from Halloween weekend. How many of you spent most of trick-or-treat night trying to get just one photo where the kids are actually looking at the camera and smiling?
As you can see, my efforts were only partially successful. And yes, those were spots on Henry's little face. However, by the end of the night he looked more like a dirty hobo than a cute dalmatian puppy. And it was all we could do to convince Nina that elephants don't have whiskers. (Do they?)

You are so funny. It is nearly impossible to get a photo where everyone is looking and smiling...but honestly, I love the ones where everyone is "all over the place"...they're real! Cute photo!
I always tell myself its best to capture the moment, not just a picture... and then I repeat that 100 times. They are adorable by the way!
I don't even have photos yet! My youngest was in full-blown tantrum mode when picture time came so I'm dressing them up today in hopes to get some pictures for the grandparents. Wish me luck!
AAAAHHH!
the joys of motherhood!
You can't get them to sit still..
and mine is so busy he can't pick up the phone and call home!
enjoy whiskered elephants..and dirty hobo dalmations..the time passes all too quickly..and cherish each and every imperfect photo..they are truly Kodak moments ..priceless hearing the joyous laughter of childhood innocence!
hugs and smiles!

Oh, those costumes are adorable. I worked so hard trying to get pictures too. I finally got a few but these kind of photos keep it real and help you remember what life was truly like at that moment! : ) Love it.
This is exactly how my kids pictures look - Tom even said well, we've only got one pictures to celebrate the whole holiday. Oh well!
Awwww such cuties! I remember back in the day before I had a digital camera, I took a whole roll of 36 pictures for our Christmas card and there was only ONE good one! haha
I totally understand the photo struggle :-) My husband and I are both professional photographers and still have a hard time 'cause kids are kids, as they should be. So. My solution has been to take more individual photos and put together a photo collage for sending out to family - the kids do a whole lot better one on one and then you get that really cute photo you wanted. Awwwww both of them are PRECIOUS!!! What a cute picture!
Too cute. My little boy was a dalmation his first Halloween as well. (Of course, that was 11 yrs ago, sigh).
They are just too cute! And check out those faces, they look so much alike.
Oh how sweet! Looks like it was fun time by all!
What ever picture you put on the card is going to be precious. As some up said previously up there, it is the moment that counts. Love the letter idea. Just the idea I need.
Blessings

I love it! They are adorable!
They are so cute Carrie. It is so hard to get them to look at the camera. For some reason everything around them becomes more interesting.
So Cute
LOL I SO hear you!!! Getting my baby to look at me for a picture is both an effort of bribery and reverse psychology!
It ell ya, I'm feeling your pain! We are so hiring a friend for our Christmas card photo. There is no way to do it without a "baby/toddler wrangler". I'm afraid too!
I think I would have given her some whiskers anyway : ) If it makes her happy : ). They are very, very cute!
They are so precious!!!
So much cuteness in one house! YOu are so lucky!!

I feel your pain. The photo cracks me up. I got one good photo of Logan the Sunday before Halloween. The pictures of Logan and Madison together are pretty sad!
Oh gosh, they are so CUTE!!!
As for the photos....I can get one to look, but never both.....and by that I mean, SARAH! For some reason when she is on her own with me she will cooperate, but get Nick in the picture and she is a mess. I too amd dreading the old christmas card.
Have a great week!

That sure is a cute picture though. You can just see the happiness in their face. Getting a family picture that is perfect is nearly impossiable. My goals are just to have everyone look happy, and even then I know that is a far fetched goal. But, it is my goal :) Glad you had a nice halloween.
Super cute! maybe for Christmas you can take individual shots and just photoshop everyone in there :)
I completely feel your pain! My kids never cooperate for pictures!
I think this picture is super cute! Hope you have a great week!
Ha! One of my favorite family Christmas cards was one where the kids were being their "natural selves" and not smiling for the camera at all. (The elephant costume is so cute!)
They are adorable! Their smiles are precious ~ regardless of where they are looking.

That is an absolutely PRICELESS picture! I love it!
Thank you for sharing with us all!

I live under a rock, you know. Or at least I've done so lately. So I haven't been here in awhile. And just look at this place! It looks WONDERFUL. I love your new blog design, I love the pumpkins instead of mums on your porch, I love your cute Halloween photo, I love that you can now enter giveaways. . . I always feel good after I've visited here. Thank you for my dose of feel-good today. :)
Oh my goodness! They are so adorable! I think the Christmas card photo will be fabulous as long as those two little cuties are in it!
Aww too cute...
I always manage to get great photos of the girls by themselves. But, never any of them together.
That is so cute. I have a elephant costume form when my big boys were little.
