Is It Too Early For a Bubble Bath?

Yes, it's Monday.  I already need a bubble bath!  So I figured it would be a good time to do a little post on my master bathroom...after all, I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

The other day, Nina and I came home from the pool all greased up from sunscreen, so after dinner I filled up the bathtub.  Although I love these candles in my bathroom, I think this is probably only the second time they've been lit in...six months?  I just don't usually take the time.  But I should!

My favorite thing about the bathroom is my little chandelier.  I always thought it needed some dimension above the bathtub, but didn't want to mess with running new electrical wiring to put up an actual light fixture.  My solution was to head over to my favorite antique shop, and I came home with this wrought iron thingy for about $25.  Not bad for what a big statement it makes!
When I actually light all the candles, it is practically daylight in there!  A bubble bath was the perfect way to de-grease myself from sunscreen, relax, and even get rid of some of those pregnancy aches and pains I've been having lately.  Perfect ending to the day!  I hope you find something just as relaxing on this Monday...

Your master bath looks beautiful! The candle chandelier is perfect in the room. I have one of those huge garden tubs and I've never used it!! I dust it occaisonally but never actually get in. lol

Aaaaahhhhh. . .Next time I'm in my tub that I can barely fit in, my tub that drains while I'm in it (I imagine that they're ocean waves), I'll imagine that there's a beautiful chandelier above me. :)

Really, it's GORGEOUS!!

How relaxing! I have a "candle"lier similar to that, but haven't found a place in our "new" house to put it. (Well, we've been here almost 3 years, so I guess it's not really new anymore.) ;) You've inspired me to think about where it could go; thanks!

Looks and sounds very relaxing. I usually don't take the time either. The only time I use my bath tub is when I have a cold and I need to surround myself with Vicks Vapor bubbles. Maybe I'll be able to sit outside this evening, read my book and have a glass of wine.
Best wishes,
Michaela

carrie, I love your bath tub and I am so jealous! see, I hate showers, and daily I take my bath....but, relazing my 5ft 9 inch frame in a standard tub, just doesn't cut it :( Your tub with those candles looks like an oasis.

I love the look of all your candles in your bathroom. I think I'll light mine tonight and indulge. We've had the effects of Fay all day and I've been dealing with two wet labs and a four year old boy all day. They all stink. :)

Thanks for the idea. I never really light my candles either in my bath, so tonight will be a treat.

I've enjoyed your bloggy page.

I love your iron chandelier! It adds so much character to your bathroom. I adore taking bubble baths. It is such a great way to relax and unwind with some music and a book or magazine. And, I swear that I sleep better after soaking in the tub! I'm jealous of your garden tub! When we bought our house, we couldn't find a house in the area that we liked with one, so even though I'm a regular bath taker, I have to squeeze into our little standard size tub! ;)

My son wouldn't take one and it bummed me out actually...now aren't I a dork?!? I think it does make Miss Priss still look like a baby and not a pre toddler! I agree with you 150% girl! Kids are in bed and hubby is now home so I'm going to see how his day went and have a glass of wine from our local winery. Yummy! ~ Les
