I am still finding little projects around the house to keep me busy! My sister says I am in extreme nesting mode now that I am only about 12 weeks away from having Baby #2. That might be true, but I also know (from having Baby #1) that once Baby #2 is born, I will be out of commission, project-wise. I will probably be proud of myself that I get dressed in the mornings, let alone even attempt to spray paint or Mod Podge anything. So, let's enjoy this spurt of energy while we can!
I recently bought this little metal basket. It's pretty sad.
See? It's all part of my attempt to distract myself from the half dozen Christmas decoration boxes in my basement, screaming to be opened and put to use!
You amaze me! What will we all do when you are 'out of commission?' :) These are great little creations all your own. The Holidays are a great time for nesting I think. You have extra reason.
ReplyDeletep.s. the Tigers would have been glad to gather those sticks from yesterday in the woods for you. :)
ReplyDeleteSo impressed! I am so inspired by your decor...I'm kind of bummed that just when I'll need it most (when I get to our new TN home in January), you'll be out of commission for a while! =(
ReplyDeleteYou come up with the cutest ideas! I wish I was as creative! How do you keep your house clean and do all these projects, I wonder. Its either one or the other for me..lol. Have you ever posted your daily cleaning schedule and I missed it?
ReplyDeleteI remember those last few weeks. Cute projects. Nest away!
ReplyDeleteOH, that is nice! It looks like you went shopping at Ballard!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
You are so very clever! That little turkey looks a hundred times better carrying a little pumpkin than a candle. You really should be making the big bucks as a consultant for some home decor company.
ReplyDeleteYou will be so busy you won't have time to think about projects. When the time comes just look around as you hold your new baby and enjoy what you've accomplished. You will have accomplished a lot!!
ReplyDeleteHow did you do that basket? What is "mod podge.." I SO want to do that-I have a million metal baskets, and I need something like that!!!!
ReplyDelete(Happy Nesting!!!)
Love the little metal take out thingy.
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
You are so creative and I'm jealous!! I love both of them!
ReplyDeleteTake advantage of the nesting phase! Love that little Turkey:)
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously considering pulling out some of my Christmas decorations. We are going to be travelling for Thanksgiving so we won't be home to put up the tree like we normally do. I have so much stuff that it takes forever to get it all out. Maybe I'll pull a few Rubbermaids out and get started:)
Wow -- I love all your little projects! My project today -- call a painter -- my kitchen paint job keeps getting delayed -- can't take it much longer!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good day and find some more projects to share!
Janet
I saw the turkeys too, but they didn't look right for me. I never thought to spray paint them - they look awesome. By the way, I put sticks in a vase in my masterbath yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea to modge podge with scrapbook paper. I would have never thought to do that. How crafty! Yes, get everything done now, your world will change with #2:-)
ReplyDeleteprecious...love both the ideas! nesting was one of my favs of pregnancy...the most gets done, you are like superwoman!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the turkey with the pumpkin..so cute! This is the first time, that I have been so tempted to pull out my Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving. We are gone 2 weeks in December so we do not enjoy it very long!!!
ReplyDelete12 weeks...how exciting!

ReplyDeleteWow! I love the new take-out-menu-holder!! I also love mod podge...and think of a million and one things to do with it...but rarely get around to it. So, it's nice to see the things you make, which are always totally CUTE! The little turkey is cute too with his new brown hue :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great Tuesday!!
I love both of these projects!
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the very best when your baby arrives, but... where ever will I get my great ideas to copy!? LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects today!
I remember those nesting days of pregnancy I tried to make the most of them as well. Now I have four kidlets and it's hard to get anything done beyond taking care of them. Love what you did in your bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI really love the little metal tin...where did you get the scrapbook paper? Who makes it? We have slim pickins here in my neck of the woods and I have been looking for a black and white diamond pattern.
ReplyDeleteLove the little turkey! He looks so cute with that pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for takeout menus.
ReplyDeleteWe have menus and no where to put them. I am going to search for an ugly metal container and then make it pretty like you did! These are just things that I would never think of doing! Great crafting mind!
ReplyDeleteLove the turkey, btw.

ReplyDelete12 weeks and baby #2...yes, things will change, but you'll love it. It will take some adapting, that's for certain. Enjoy this nesting time. Shell
Way to hold out with the Christmas decorations : ). I am a big fan of waiting until after Thanksgiving. : ) I am definitely in a minority though. I prayed for you today. I hope you are feeling well and the baby is doing well too!

I know what you mean.About the baby stuff and avoiding the attic.
ReplyDeleteThe early Christmas blogs are not making it easy. I never even think of Christmas before Thanksgiving.Only 2 more weeks to enjoy the warmth of Fall.
Love what you did with the paper!
Love the basket - it is very retro! I like the turkey as well. It is amazing how the darker paint just makes it more elegant.
