Well, I spent my weekend planting flowers, and it finally looks like summer around here!

Gotta say, though, that bets are being taken on how long these beautiful plants will stay alive.

In the meantime, I am
loving my purple and green color combination!

And do you even
believe those hydrangeas? They're real! They look so lovely that everyone assumes they are
fakies. Can't say I blame them. Most people know of my gardening woes.
Ahhhh...gorgeous!

Check back with me in a few weeks to see if these babies are still alive and
kickin'!
Just make sure to water them - my cocoa lined baskets dry out really quick - like everyday.
ReplyDeleteThis certainly says summer! The purple-green combination is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood job! Beautiful!!!

Gorgeous flowers - but I am seriously coveting that rooster beside your front door!
ReplyDeleteHydrangeas are so friendly, they just have that soft, vintage feel. Especially in the lilac, blue, and soft pink colors!
ReplyDeleteSo so beautiful - good luck with the hydrangeas. They can be tricky in CO.
ReplyDeleteLooks good! Very inviting. I can't wait for my summer plants to start looking happy and full.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I just bought our first house in October.. so I am new to gardening :) what flowers do you have in your hanging baskets?
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteThe flowers in the hanging baskets are lobelia. Not sure how they will do, because this is my first summer trying them. Good luck!

I am jealous of your flowers! I have such a black thumb. I am really going to start paying attention and learn about plants and flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love your porch. I want to sit there. Your flowers are beautiful. I'm planting pots this weekend!
